Morning Visit - Paul Marsh

Description of sighting

large number of bird species seen, migrants few and far between due to weather conditions. The young kestrels were quite visible and active and shellduck numbers are begining to build in the River Axe.The cattle and goats were very easily found and provided some good views.Visitor reported some rutting activity with the goats. Singles of wheatear, whinchat, whitethroat and wood warbler were probably the highlights.
