Spring Visit

Description of sighting

The weather was cloudy to start and very humid, with skies clearing later. The most visble and vocal
birds were whitethroats and linnet. The whitethroats were very obliging and perched singing on the top of the bushes.Several family groups of stonechat, meadow pipit and goldfinches were also seen. Most of the usual Brean Down residents were about although there was no sign of the peregrines or kestrels usually seen.
Pairs of shellduck were around the beach on the Weston side.
