Black Redstart still giving good views, has been here in Brean Cove since October 2014.Murmuration of starlings, about 1500,displaying in the fields by Brean Farm.Although sunny day,the low temperature and strong winds kept numbers low.
Highlights for me were a singe male redstart near the end of the road and very good views of a chiffchaff and willow warbler near Cox's old house. For an overcast and windy visit of about 2.5 hours the total is quite good,
Fall of 30 Chiffchaff
Very large numbers of gulls seen.
a quiet day for numbers and species
Paul reports large numbers of swallows passing over and a group of 6 manx shearwater viewed distantly
from the end of the fort.He also saw 3 Harbour Porpoises in the rough water near Howe Rock
